Heading up to Trapper John shelter from the Dorchester road. I believe that's miles to springer. I've decided that if I push it I should be able to reach Hanover tomorrow. I just remembered that the box that I had dropped at the barn hostel in gorham had fuel canisters in it. That was the box I picked up and just mailed in toto to general delivery Hanover- oops. 53° Mostly Cloudy 43.7965° N, 72.076° W
Off to the left is the Dartmouth ski hill but this distraction below popped up just as it started to rain. I did not make the stop. I've got my sites on doing 17 miles tomorrow and getting into a hostel in Hanover.
In the mean time it's raining again. Why not sunshine? I believe I need a massage. Would that be all right, deah?
So I got into this shelter fairly early in the day. Grateful it's here otherwise I'd be walking in the rain. Got my stuff sorted out. Went extravagant and put on my dry socks( not clean just dry) I got my bedroll set up and even made a video I sent off to Melanie. I ate some supper but I'm thinking I'm two days ahead of my self I might just eat again. I moved a fire rate into the shelter and found a dry board. I have a seat! Right now I am wearing every bit of clothing I have been carrying. Long smartwool undies pants and rain pants on the bottom. Long smartwool undies, shirt. Down jacket and insulated rain jacket and I'm still freaking cold. I'd have my gloves on but then I can't tap this screen. I'm eating again and getting in my bag. Last night I had no trouble falling off to sleep at 6:30 pm.
54° Overcast

I got in early. After two days of cold wind overcast the weather finally changed to cold wind rain. The rain started 1.5 miles from the shelter just to give hiking a bad name.
